Computing
At Pennine Way Primary School, we teach Computing through the Purple Mash curriculum, which provides children with exciting opportunities to develop their digital skills and understanding of technology. Pupils learn a range of key computing skills, including coding, creating digital content, using data, and understanding how technology is used in the wider world. Lessons are designed to build knowledge and confidence progressively, helping children become creative, independent and responsible users of technology.
Online safety is a central part of our Computing curriculum. Children are taught how to stay safe online, protect their personal information, recognise potential risks and use technology respectfully and responsibly. Through regular discussions and learning activities, pupils develop the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the digital world safely and confidently, preparing them for life in an increasingly connected society.
